Autologous Platelet Grafting™

Autologous platelet gels have been used in various surgical applications dating back to 1978. Our research has shown participating physicians have experienced the efficacy of Autologous Platelet Grafting™ in treating diabetic ulcers, bone augmentation and fusion, plastic surgery, surgical dehiscience, venous stasis uclers as well as to improve granulation formation and wound closure.

SafeBlood® achieves remarkable results by having a consistent process achieved by treating a large volume of wounds. We begin by collecting blood and separating platelet enhanced plasma. We mix the plasma concentrate with proprietary ratios and formulation of reagents that transform the mixture into a semi-solid graft. Once the wound has been prepared and examined by the physician, the graft is directly applied to the wound, becoming a living autologous graft.

SafeBlood Technologies® provides physicians, surgeons and facilities with the tools they need to generate Autologous Platelet Grafts™ in their own centers. In many cases, this procedure is insurance reimbursed. SafeBlood® has retained and offers a specialist to guide our clients in this area. We also observed (based on recent procedures) Autologous Platelet Grafting™ to be beneficial on burns, neurosurgery, ob-gyn, oral maxillo facial, orthopedics, plastic and cosmetic surgery, as well as other surgical procedures where acute bleeding or fluid discharge may be prevalent. Excellent haemostatic properties have been shown in many cases.
